In the quixotic deluge of good intentions; in the upside down world that we now live in; good now seems to be bad and light is now considered as darkness. There now seems to be a newfound worldly consensus with an adjoining spiritual dimension and a downscaling of our standard belief system where we are now encouraged to think and believe in a global community. Indeed, events are converging at such an accelerated speed where time is of the essence and values are being tested and stretched to the max. On top of all this hubris, to say that we are stressed would be an understatement as people try to hang on to the core beliefs that once made America great.
As the slide into the nebulous concept of change is picking up steam, we are challenged into choosing ideological sides from a national perspective all the way down to a family and personal level. All the while having an ominous sense that once this decision is made – all other sub-positions will need to be abandoned for the sake of personal expediency and conformance.
The quaint realization is being fostered that we need to do something now and it had better be in a reactionary posture of self-preservation and protection. This alienation and what seems to be for many people a more hardened social core or shell of covering can best be described as having a polarizing effect.
Conversely, other people (but really not many) are also being called to the forefront and mobilized. These people however, are quite different; conspicuous by their presence. They may also be making preparations but seem to possess and inner awareness, a calm, an inner peace in light of the coming storms. Even in their solemnity and unity of spirit, they look to the author and finisher of their faith as their redemption draweth nigh.
This same small group of people know that while they are in the service of an omnipotent God, they will never retreat nor deflect from their calling to represent the truth in a dying land.
Their time is short, their mission is urgent, the stakes are high, and the fields are ready for harvest…
They have matured like fully grown wheat and accepted their task with a unity of spirit, a common goal, and with uncommon valor. They are ready able and willing to risk their lives for the Lord they serve. They know that through the foe of adversity and the pain of despair that their God will provide them safe passage and be welcomed home.
But this is no so with the secular world that denies the maker of the universe and mocks the design of his hands. They are complicit and corrupt in the conspiracy as it says in
Psalms 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
They fail to take heed. They have utterly failed as they coerce, connive, and contrive to build a world built in their image, a world devoid of feeling, character, or morals. As delinquent sociopaths, they have destroyed their own house with fire divided against itself and collectively stand condemned by destroying the earth (metaphor for God’s creaction).
Even the atheists and dogmatic God deniers will reap what they sow as they realize that they have forfeited their chance. Then they will understand that down through the millennia they were active participants and willful purveyors of death, wars, abortions, destruction, and desolations.
Zephaniah 1
1 The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.
2 I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.
3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.
4 I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;
5 And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham;
6 And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.
7 Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.
8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.
9 In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit.
10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.
11 Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.
12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.
14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.
18Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
Whereas the believers (martyrs) under the altar who have been beheaded for the word of God down through the ages (their voice silenced while here on earth) that plead for their blood shall be rewarded with spotless garments to clothe them and be renewed in spirit as they cry out “how long O Lord Holy and True”…
For the final phase of man’s ultimate journey will be fulfilled and the harvest will be gathered and the eternal choices been made. Every knee shall bow and every mouth shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
And the woman false religious system that has rode this beast system down through the years up until now will finally get her due. The dichotomy of the multitude still remaining in their comfort zones once the world system becomes like the chaff on the threshing floor will finally realize that the mystery of Mystery Babylon was being unequally yoked with unbelievers in a world system. The meek shall finally inherent the earth as the true word of God covers the land like a river of living water that saturates the entire earth.
The remnant has already made their decision and has called out to the multitude to join them. The multitude for their part are still in their comfort zones where they believe that all will be well. Their traditions of men and hierarchy and relationship are still more important to them even at this late hour.
When the storms come – they and their “House” of sand will be swept away because it was built on the world’s system of commerce and "souls of men" and not on the “Rock”.
They will finally understand what it means to be a called out assembly and a peculiar people.
It all depends on where you stand…
