The lukewarm syndrome and what it means to you..
Simply put it is a condition of mixing hot and cold. It is the melding of opposites. The compromise of values and ethics. The friendship of the world which is enmity with God. Oh, but wait, the cry will go out – God loves everyone; we all serve the same God; and why can’t we all just get along?
How I would have loved to live in the 1st century where you didn’t have to worry about 401’s, retirement accounts, or a bigger SUV or BMW.
It would have been good not to have people cut you off on the highway doing 85 or discussing which psychiatrist or SSRI was best for you. Nor, would you have all the constant drone of competing denominations with their dogma’s, papal bulls, or religious world ecumenism.
Where the fear of loss would have been replaced with the hope of eternal gain. Where the Blessed Hope which is only found in Jesus Christ and only He has to offer. Where instead of trying to find “safe havens” of where to put our temporary assets of physical gold; maybe we would have given it all away in the hope of a better resurrection and not regarded our lives unto the death..
Where it might have been good to live in the catacombs (caves) sharing a warm fire and a few crumbs of stale bread with a true brother or sister talking about the Lord and the eternal promise of life over death in Him than witness a land of complete strangers separated by politics, dissention and pride.
Maybe it is good not to give in to the consensus of political correctness and suffer the glaring rebuke of being called hateful and not inclusive of the “feelings” of others while even the people closet to you offer their reproach.
All I can say is I have not done this for money. I sell no products as a result (I was accused of being a salesman), and I have tried in earnest to warn people -
- About the wicked devices of Satan (the enemy of our soul),
- To talk about current events that confirm Bible prophecy
- To encourage ALL people to turn to the real Jesus while they still have time and,
- To encourage them to inform others.
Jesus said in Rev 3:15:
“15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me”.
No wonder they call this place the desert.
Don’t you see – this is all spiritual being played out on the battleground of a physical canvass..
Get into the “spiritual ark” as “spiritual Israel” now while you still have few precious seconds left…
You’ll have the rest of eternity to be glad you did. Campfire anyone?
