The War:
(and what to do about it)

12-12-10

Through all the hardship, pain and sojourning that we all go through it's good to know that someone cares. In the expanse of time when in need or just plain down and out, we do have a resource to go to. His name is Jesus. He is the One who calms the storms. He is the One who gathers all to himself. He is the One who leads us through.

Even in these very visible yet transitional shells that we occupy, now is the time to cover ourselves with the blood of the Lamb. Only Jesus Christ will give safe quarter when doubt and fear arise. Only He who died for our sins when the religious and political leaders mocked and scoffed him actually rose from the dead. The physical became the spiritual and the transition was made.

Put down your cares because He cares.

For the temple is now within. When the rains come and the lightning strikes, the veil is torn in twain to expose the things of the heart. Now is the time to stand firm in the Holy Place of your heart. Trust neither scrip, nor sword, nor carefully devised plans. It is the Lord your God who will deliver you through it all.

The mainstream Churches make no excuses about their merchandizing. Why, because it's in consonance with the Beast system. Some say money is the "oil" that runs the Blood Beast of Babylon which is the world system and they are right. Others make no pretense that your donations will grow their ministry. Yes, Paul was a tentmaker but he was no merchandiser of products.

Many voices there are who trumpet their ministries for donations, evangelism and much merchandise. They will viscously attack anyone who criticizes their "commercialism". They say it is for the Lord's work and you cannot take away their "joy". That they are being "blessed" as their ministry grows...

Is there anyone who REALLY wants the Lord? Then get out in the desert with him. Why? Because this is a spiritual wasteland. The world buys and sells to make a profit. So does their religious counterpart. And their product is you  (Rev 18:13 ...and souls of men).

Jesus said to give it all away in order to find eternal life. Strife, heartbreak, struggles will be your lot in life. In order to find eternal life a person must leave all their earthly treasures behind. When out in the desert rely on the Holy Spirit of The Most High God The Comforter who Jesus said he would send (and has). Not freeze dried food, gold or financial gain.

Rev 6 is very interesting for those of us who think of a prosperity gospel. For those "tuned in" it is a battle, a blood and guts battle that will take a person to the very reaches and limits of who they really are. A battle that very few of the mollified masses have no idea what goes on around them where the skirmishes are vicious and cruel to experience. Except for God, these battles are lonely and fraught with dryness, calamity and pain.

Rev 6:9 -  And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

This is war. Pure and simple. It won't be for the faint of heart. It won’t be for the fearful. And it won't end until somebody dies for their side. It goes way beyond the usual physical boundaries to the forces that are external, malicious, hateful and cruel.

To deny it is to admit it exists. To admit it exists is to prepare for it in the Word.

It is otherworldly, ancient, completely given to murder at every opportunity. There are a few isolated warriors on the fringes of the spiritual canopy who act as sentinels or watchmen that watch and guard. They are set aside, totally compartmentalized, isolated from the masses and loaded to the teeth with the Word. They don't think maybe they will die doing what they do - they KNOW it. They LIVE it every day with this knowledge. And they PREPARE for it. When they try to sleep at night and can't because of constant attacks; the enemy is awake and continually wearing them down, beating them down with the hounds of hell. Vicious attack dogs that only know how to kill and torment. Nightmares, jolts and barely hanging on to their physical lives are normal events for them. Their enemies are the merciless demon hybrids of evil and darkness where chaos is their home's abode.

The warriors’ protection is - we were not given a spirit of fear... And greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world.

For "God's warriors", they cry out to the Lord and are mocked by the hounds from hell. Torture is the language spoken here in this war and the man or woman of God fights on in faith soaked in the spiritual blood of the Lamb. They know when they get down to nothing - that there is nothing impossible for God. They know that even if they wear down, are beat down, have their life battery completely drained from them; that they are not beat, that they didn't lose, that they will gladly give their life to the One Who sits on the Throne. They regret they couldn't do more, to try harder for the Kingdom, for their other brothers and sisters in Christ. For this is their lot in life - to be sacrificed for the Lord and his throne. It is a spiritual offering chiseled in the deep love they have for Him. A long hard narrow road to travel yes, but in the end when their statement and testimony will have been made, when the evil one can't torment them any longer, their race will have been won and the joy of the Lord complete.

They know that no matter how hard and lonely the road gets that the Lord is right there with them helping them up when they fall down from utter exhaustion knowing that He will never leave nor forsake them.

These warriors know that even though they didn't have much rest in this war, that they will inherit that land that no eye has seen or no ear has heard those things reserved for them who love Him. No matter what the cost even to their last tortured breath they will yell out the Name Jesus. Standing in the Holy Place while here on earth they will praise the Lord with all their might and with all the strength they have left. They will help bring down the temples of this false world beast system with the false religious prophet even if it means their life. And they will rest in the bosom of God's Altar with peace and He will give them great joy, wipe away their tears, and lead them unto rivers of living water. And their works will follow them. They will also be with their reunited brothers and sisters who rejoice in the Lord as well.

To rest means to have peace.

To everything physical there will be an end. No matter what - fight the good fight and don't look back. Neither fear them who can kill the body.

Rev 3:18  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Rev 7:13  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb
15  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17  For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Rev 18:20  Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22  And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23  And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24  And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth

It might all come down to being on a street corner one day when someone cries out for help. Peter had that experience and had no gold or silver to give. But he did give that man something that was worth much more than money that day...

And that man was healed.

Even if we have to give our very lives for the Lord's Kingdom, we will be healed.

God gave his Son's life that we might live. We give our lives back to him to give him glory and in the process we find our true lives and are born again.

Praise God.
