A message from Scott on Thanksgiving Day 2009:
As we look back on another year, we can only understand how far we have come. Not just us but all of us collectively. We look back over the year’s trials and triumphs, tears and joy, struggles and accomplishments. When help was needed, we all provided a helping hand. When wisdom beckoned, we searched for the right words to express. When comfort called, we offered consolation.
We have also rejoiced in others accomplishments and supported each other in their attempt to succeed.. In small and big ways we have strived for our freedom and the freedom of others by being productive in our thoughts, words, actions, and deeds not to mention prayers.
We’re all on the same journey and need time to reflect, rest, gather, and celebrate.
So as we look back on the year’s events; let us never forget that we look forward to our eventual hope of glory which is Christ in us.
And remember – we’re just all that much closer to home where the thanks-giving celebration will go on forever…
And for that – we can all be thankful.
