Hear our cries O Lord Holy and True as the pressures mount on your precious few. When we are wearied, beset, and taken with pain, give us rest and food, and faith for the test. When we are worried, stand by us. Let your spirit forever guide us as a beacon of hope. In the stormy waters let us look to you. As darkness covers the sky and the vultures prey, may we lift up our voices and joyfully pray.
With an outstretched arm may you lead us to still waters. May you gather your people from all about and may we give you praise, and honor, and shout. May the travailing pain of a woman in birth give rise and hope to a spiritual rebirth.
And for all the people who are hurting and fear, may they know that you will never leave nor forsake and always are near. Give us your strength O Lord and calm our hearts.
Pour out your spirit Lord to help us make it through the night.
