Editor’s note: I’d like to dedicate this prayer to a man that I admire and respect very much by the name of Randy Maugans of the Threshers. –Scott—

May we continue to march.

Workers in the vineyard: At the end of the day every labourer will receive a penny. We are now at the eleventh hour. In order to receive something from the Lord we have to study and show ourselves approved. Some threshers who are studying the Word in their hearts are in the fields because they are joyful that the harvest will come to fruition (in due season). Other threshers will “murmur” in the fields and in the desert. The desert can be dry but it can also give its water even where no water exists through the Rock which is Christ.

Others have built their house on sand so that when the rains come and beat down their house because it was not built upon the Rock, they too are like the tares sown in with the wheat that must be threshed out. Likewise, the ones that murmured in the desert also perished. Even for the silent threshers, may the joy of the Lord be upon their hearts. May they know that their brothers and sisters who do raise their voices for righteousness sake do it with them in mind. We will all receive one penny at the end of the day.

Even the spiritual virgins who have trimmed their lamps to see in the dark of night when the Lord comes at midnight when it is darkest out when no man or woman can work; may they also receive their recompense when the bridegroom returns… May their joy be complete as they have anointed their hearts with the oil of the Lord.

Concerning Gods Holy Spirit, when real tribulation does come, He will never leave us nor forsake us and will always provide a way out. We need not despair even when our hearts are forlorn but be courageous as Gideon’s army of just a few that vanquished the many. Look for miracles and embrace like minded believers who are a kindred few even in times of dismay may we ever be strong.

In the end, self preservation will be the down fall of many. As many look to preserve their lives, they will lose them but for those precious few who look to lose their lives for the sake of the Lord, they will preserve their lives forevermore…

No matter how dark it gets out.
