All we’re doing is passing thru…
After watching the flooding in the Midwest a few weeks ago, I came upon a picture that put things in proper perspective albeit in a most dramatic way. It showed an expansion bridge that had over a dozen large scale homes that had been literally picked up from their foundations and swept away by the flood and deposited up against the bridge. A truly amazing picture. It reminded me of the plastic houses that you use on a monopoly game when all the pieces are on the board and you lift up both ends and the pieces fall to the crevice at the bottom. Virtually none of these homeowners had flood insurance (there’s a huge metaphor here). Their realtors and insurance people told them that the last major flood was about 500 years ago… (so why need it?)
I couldn’t help but think of the devastation that will be wrought on each and every family involved. They must be heartbroken. The force of a flood of this magnitude is uncommon in that it spreads out like a deadly force that envelops everything in its untimely path. Jesus also spoke of this concept spiritually.
The hubris of life & the “allure” of things
As the world implodes on the weight of its own financial mass, people are reminded of their own instability. The jovial banter is gone. The carefree talk of bigger houses, a new BMW, or exotic vacations has suddenly shifted to how are we going to make it? As the ripple effect of home foreclosures, write downs, and credit defaults, painfully strike wave after incessant wave, that double scoop of Stone Cold ice cream no longer has the same meaning or allure…
The next 6 months will be quite telling. Of course we’ll be sidetracked with all the fanfare of the Olympics in Beijing. Ultimately, it will be like watching a movie indoors only to have to walk outside where you encounter a huge thunderstorm and you get in your car only to learn it won’t start... After the games, it will be the election where the candidates will talk about everything under the sun “the symptoms” except addressing the “cancers” that eat away at us daily. The people will dumbly pin their hopes on their candidate who will effect change. Except that that change will never come. Some people never learn…
The coming “offer”
The powers that be are worried – very worried. They know that the old paradigm is slipping away. However, they look to their handlers for guidance. The handlers for their part know that things are proceeding handsomely. These serpents and scorpions are totally bereft of all morality. They are consummate profligates, evil, corrupt, and antichrist to the core. Their mantra is Ordo ab Chao (Order out of Chaos).
They have taken the offer from the “Prince of the air”. Jesus the Nazarene rebuked Satan with his offer of “the World”. That offer has still been on the table ever since and will come to a full “conclusion” when the “illuminated ones” (read special knowledge) step out from the scenes and make an offer to the masses to “join them”… The masses for their part (those who remain) if they are not founded on “the Rock” – when the global storms come; will likely follow a global leader. Remember, right now we are in the “ramp up” stage. This has been planned for a VERY long time. Now you know. And why will the people follow such a scheme?? Jesus said it succinctly “ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Matt 6:24) By this time all subterfuge will have dwindled away and a choice will have to be made (i.e. “whom do ye serve?”). In other words, it will be one or the other. Absolutely no in-between…
(Mammon = “incorrectly derived treasure where it is personified and opposed to God”).
Still don’t believe it can’t or won’t happen? The masses for their part if they are not founded on the Rock; when the storms come; will willingly follow. Why??? Because they want a return to their bigger houses, new BMW, vacations etc (or at least the promise thereof)…
This is juxtaposed against the stone cold reality of gas prices, food, and stagflation. Right now people are disenfranchised of their direction. Their compass is “off”. Kind of like standing on top of a giant magnet. They don’t know where to turn. Plus, their ecclesiastical rank and file authorities who are a legal extension or “ward” of the state are telling them to obey the government. They will probably believe the logic to take a mark of identification in order to operate in a new economic paradigm. Sounds likes a good idea right(?) Wrong.
Reminds us of when some people were out in a desert and they were waiting on word (The Word – for those of you who understand) from God. They contrived with their leaders to build a golden calf (altar) so they could worship. The obvious question for us is: what did they worship? The calf (just a common animal) or,,, what the calf represented (the gold)? Now the question is: what does the gold represent? Answer: the bigger houses, the new BMW, the better vacations…
Sodom & Gomorrah
America is now the Sodom and Gomorrah. God is not politically correct. God will not be mocked. America will be judged. Count on it. The question is: will you be counted as a Lot? This is God’s word-picture for us today. Right now. Lot had to physically leave the location he resided in. If you understand type/shadow; we will have to spiritually leave this location and “if” you look back; you will be turned to stone (strong metaphor).
Leaving Egypt
In order to dial in on this concept; imagine if all hell breaks loose and the lives of millions are being swept away by the floods of chaos. So, the more a person tries to save their life – they will loose it. A true dichotomy if you will. But if they give their life for Jesus Christ – they will find it (keep it for eternity). Remember during the storm, Peter who was a professional fisherman was scared so bad that when he saw Jesus walk on the water cried out to him to save him. He only began to sink when he took his eyes off Jesus.
When (not if) the global waves of adversity engulf us; and in conjunction with leaving Egypt; we had better be on God’s economics otherwise the supposed “safe havens” that we thought correct will be judged. Hint: if the pyramidal structures of government, religious, and/or the economy are all pyramid related; then when they crumble; instead of unfathomable loss; it will be a time of transition and exodus to a new life. Jesus always said “my kingdom is not of this world”. In His kingdom; everyone gets paid the same wage (one penny). It doesn’t matter what time of the day you are hired (this is God’s offer); everyone gets paid the same. There is no position, title, rank, or power structure in God’s millennial kingdom. And no backroom deals. The currency will be in love.
In this present world a person’s status in life is determined and defined by how much money he or she has or makes and what title, position, power, or rank they possess. Just like Egypt you have the all Seeing Eye at the top of the pyramid and all the way down to the brick makers and stone movers that work at the bottom. Are you starting to get the picture? However, in God’s matrix; none of this exists. There are no power broker’s, celebrities, billionaire talk show hosts, crooked politicians, or singing idols in God’s kingdom. That is not saying they can’t get there. That is saying they have to change “before” they get there. This is what being born again is all about (i.e. spiritual Israel).

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 32 Remember Lot's wife.
The storm clouds are on the horizon right now. Will you get into the ark that Jesus Christ provides or will you rely on your own devices for survival? Is your house built on sand or is it built on the Rock? Are you ready to get out in the desert to worship the Lord? Because right now – your soul depends on it.
